Elo Announces Agreement with Zytronic Displays Ltd. on Projected Capacitive Technology !Elo has entered into a product private-labeling and distribution agreement with Zytronic Displays Limited of Blaydon-on-Tyne, United Kingdom. Under the agreement terms, Elo will distribute Zytronic's projected capacitive touchscreen technology worldwide under the Elo brand label. The projected capacitive touchscreens and complete Elo touchmonitor solutions will be available in standard sizes this autumn. Elo's projected capacitive technology offering joins the company's other touch technologies—AccuTouch five-wire and AT4 resistive, CarrollTouch scanning infrared, and IntelliTouch, SecureTouch, and iTouch surface wave—and makes Elo's range of touch technology options the largest offered by any manufacturer. |

Features of the 1247L touchmonitor include a high brightness 300 cd/m2 panel with up to 800x600 resolution, IntelliTouch surface wave technology on pure glass for the ultimate in image quality with finger or gloved hand operation, watertight touchscreen-to-bezel seal, and power and agency approvals for sale worldwide. Elo Enhances AccuTouch Edge Accuracy with New Z-BorderElo's Z-border is a new patent-pending electrode pattern that significantly improves the linearity performance of AccuTouch touch technology. By providing a more precise straight edge, Z-border delivers greater touch accuracy in the corners of the screen. The improved positional accuracy available with Z-border has made it possible to reduce error margins from 1.5 percent to as low as 1.0 percent. |
