The new Elo PayPoint Plus for Android coupled with Bachinger’s Point-of-Sale software offer a user-friendly and stylish cash register solution

LEUVEN, BELGIUM —November, 2017 — Elo, a leading global supplier of touchscreen solutions, today announced Bachinger GmbH, an Austria-based provider of point of sale software for Windows and Android platforms, has certified Elo's new PayPoint® Plus for Android integrated cash-register system for use with its Bonissimo software suite. This certification delivers the combined benefit of decades of development and innovation for POS software and hardware from Bachinger and Elo.

Bachinger GmbH offers software packages for Windows and newly developed solutions for Android. The increasing popularity of Android-based POS software is a result of the platform’s flexibility and simplicity, and a user interface that is as easy to understand as people’s consumer devices. Bachinger’s Bonissimo software suite is user friendly and designed for interactivity, and for use across restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, bakeries, food retail and other hospitality outlets. Additional Elo hardware certified by Bachinger includes the E-Series touch computer family for Windows and the first generation of PayPoint devices.

“We have already found great success in working with Elo hardware for our Windows-based solutions," said Andreas Bachinger, founder and CEO of Bachinger GmbH. "When starting our development on Android, it was a natural choice for us to think of Elo and the new PayPoint Plus for the modern look and interactive capability of our integrated cash register system.”

Elo recently announced the PayPoint Plus for iPad and PayPoint Plus for Android product line. The all-in-one mPOS solution brings unmatched style with a distinctive modern aesthetic. PayPoint Plus provides everything a merchant needs, including a fully integrated 2D barcode scanner from Honeywell, a 3-inch printer from Star Micronics, a magnetic stripe reader from Magtek, a full-sized cash drawer and connections for third-party peripherals. With a rotating touchscreen display for customer engagement, this space-saving and commercial-grade AiO is ideal for retail, hospitality, restaurants and entertainment venues. PayPoint’s single-cable design makes setting up the POS system fast and easy.

"Elo continues to enable mPOS applications with a portfolio of interactive touchscreen displays combining the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of a mobile architecture with the retail-hardened durability of our POS solutions," said Maarten Bais, vice president and general manager EMEA of Elo. "Partners like Bachinger fit perfectly into our focus on the growth of Android solutions, supporting innovation to enhance the experience at the point of sale."

All of Elo’s Android-powered touchscreen solutions, including the PayPoint Plus model certified by Bachinger, are available for use with EloView® software, a secure SaaS platform that allows merchants to simplify and automate the configuration and deployment of Elo devices, POS applications and software updates across multiple locations remotely.
